My name is Robert and I have been active in the post-rock and metal scene for over ten years. First as a music journalist, writing for such blogs as Arctic Drones, The Monolith and MUSIC&RIOTS magazine, and later as a press writer for different labels and agencies such as Pelagic Records, Crazysane Records, The Lasting Dose Records, and many underground bands.
Under the banner of Blinkers Removed I offer copywriting services that draw from 10+ years of experience in the field of music journalism. From blurbs and sticker texts to promo texts and full press releases, my services are aimed at young bands who want to bring their album to the masses, as well as labels wanting to give a fresh voice to their copy.
It is my firm belief that most bad reviews stem from a flawed understanding of the artist’s intent rather than from bad songwriting or recording. The right words can sway the right people and a good promo text can make a difference between a good or a bad review.
